
She was reccomended for the Kings Medal for courage in the cause of
freedom:
“at all times she conducted herself with the greatest gallentry and
devotion to duty and it as mianly due to her energy and tact that
one of the two main groups of this circuit was established on a rm
basis.”
After the war ended she returned to Paris and was reunited with her
sons. Sadly, Madeline died of a blood clot in Paris on 24th February
1945. Permission was given for her military service to be noted on her
headstone.
