What we look for during an inspection
5
We assure ourselves that the provider is delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive
and well-led services.
We do this by asking providers questions and looking for evidence in relation to the
requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)
Regulations 2014. These questions are known as our key lines of enquiry (KLOE’s).
As part of the effective and responsive domains we also look to see how providers
are meeting the needs of the six key population groups:
Older People
People with long-term conditions
Families, children and young people
Working age people (including those recently retired and students)
People whose circumstances may make them vulnerable (including carers)
People experiencing poor mental health (including people with dementia)
